What’s an Air Force situational comedy? Why is Osaka the greatest town? Is virtual scuba diving stress free? Are murder mystery games family friendly? So many questions, not a lot of answers, but a ton of straight up jams by a ton of legendary composers, including Ryu Umemoto, Yuzo Koshiro, and Yoko Kanno.

While Hammock is off somewhere along the coast celebrating his birthday, you can celebrate the music of Tsukasa Tawada and Ryuji Sasai, the relaxing vibes of fishing resorts and golf courses, the spicy nightlife of Faeria, the intensity of naval and space warfare, and the mystery of the MURDER MYSTERY RPG. A special thanks to the Legacy Music Hour for a shout out on their latest episode. And a special thanks to each and every one of our listeners. High five.

Golf? Check. Tennis? Check. Casinos? Check. Bars? Check. We hit a lot of familiar territory on this week’s show but also explore caverns with therapeutic hot mineral springs, contemplate the many options of the world map, and seek to achieve the art of balance in our everyday lives. If you tap an armadillo on the top of their shell, they will pop right into the air. I’m not suggesting you go around scaring armadillos but it’s a fascinating sight. Okay, thanks, enjoy the show!

An extra smooth show to make up for last show’s mishap, we venture to the smoky poolhalls and drink with Claire, trying to get in touch with Rina’s heart, who may or may not have a very strict vegan diet. We also play one of the very smoothest staff rolls to ever, composed by a mysterious unknown who should be acknowledged. Be sure to check out the special “SUMMER JAMZZZZZ” episode with XVGM Radio, if you haven’t already, and stayed tuned because something VERY special is in the works.

What’s it like to fly for fun? I don’t know – ask a bird! But seriously, we venture from 18 holes to the ultimate sandtrap of the Sahara desert, pondering what high school would be like in a world full of monsters, and the emotions you get from High Scores and Staff Rolls. And of course, the Last Wave wouldn’t be complete without at least ONE naughty game soundtrack. Bonus content: we reveal Hammock’s dad’s top three video games of ALL TIME. Check it out.
