KVGM “The Last Wave” (11/24/19)

Do you hear that sound? Can you feel it? The cool ocean breeze in your hair, the salt on your tongue. It’s the smooth crash of the Last Wave on KVGM with your host, Hammock, bringing you thirty minutes of the best video game jams(z) from all your favorite composers and consoles, each and every week from our beachside studio in sunny Aqua City Island. Sit back, relax, and get ready to catch…the Last Wave.

With Thanksgiving approaching, let’s give thanks to some wonderful composers and the smooth jams they produced for us to enjoy. I’m talking about Poland’s greatest son, Zbigniew Siatecki, Hikoshi Hashimoto, Hideki Naganuma, and the entire SNK Sound Team. Let’s give thanks to flight simulators and horse racing betting systems, to trying again next year, and perhaps, the second biggest thanks: GOLF GAMES! The first? YOU! The listener. Thank you for the continued support of the Last Wave on KVGM! And to those who celebrate, happy Thanksgiving.

Enter the Last Wave Year Two, where the jams just keep gettin’ smoother…if that’s even possible at this point, I don’t know. But we’ve got incredible hot air balloon action, Alaska golf courses, high rolling casinos, stock market simulators, and Richard Jacques laying it down for the Sega Dreamcast. Plus we take back-to-back strolls down Itadaki Street, where the slimes are too cool for school.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LAST WAVE! This week, we celebrate 365 days of broadcasting on the KVGM airwaves and re-visit some favorite soundtracks from the past year. Thank you all for the continued support throughout 2018-2019, and we hope to be celebrating a second anniversary in 2020…if the planet isn’t dead yet…but let’s hope the planet doesn’t die in 2020 and that we can continue jamming out to some of the smoothest video game tracks planet Earth has to offer.
