KVGM “The Last Wave” (11/29/20)

Do you hear that sound? Can you feel it? The cool ocean breeze in your hair, the salt on your tongue. It’s the smooth crash of the Last Wave on KVGM with your host, Hammock, bringing you thirty minutes of the best video game jams(z) from all your favorite composers and consoles, each and every week from our beachside studio in sunny Aqua City Island. Sit back, relax, and get ready to catch…the Last Wave.

Happy belated Thanksgiving, to you and your family! And if you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, you can still enjoy these jams courtesy of the Last Wave. It’s like an all-you-can-listen buffet of smooth video game music, featuring favorite consoles like the Nintendo 64 and Amiga, a lesser favorites like the GameCube and Sega CD, as well as golf, Sonic the Hedgehog, and colorful logic. Because who doesn’t think in color?

This week, mahjong isn’t the only cool parlor game in town, as go makes its grand entrance via the Nintendo GameCube. We also do a bit of skydiving (EXTREME!), city management, and dungeon crafting. And of course, the Last Wave wouldn’t be the Last Wave without some visual novel sleaze.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LAST WAVE! This week, we celebrate Year 2 of broadcasting on the KVGM airwaves and re-visit some favorite soundtracks from the past year. Thank you all for the continued support throughout 2019-2020, and we hope to be celebrating a third anniversary in 2021. Last year, I said let’s hope the planet doesn’t die in 2020…and while it technically is still alive, 2020 hit it hard. 2021 can only be an improvement…right? RIGHT?!
