KVGM “The Last Wave” (1/23/22)

Do you hear that sound? Can you feel it? The cool ocean breeze in your hair, the salt on your tongue. It’s the smooth crash of the Last Wave on KVGM with your host, Hammock, bringing you thirty minutes of the best video game jams(z) from all your favorite composers and consoles, each and every week from our beachside studio in sunny Aqua City Island. Sit back, relax, and get ready to catch…the Last Wave.

This week, we’re heading back to the virtual greens for a round of 18, as well as Ren & Stimpy skateboarding, planetarium simulation, viznovs, a classic SNES RPG that Hammock’s actually beaten, and of course, an appearance by none other than MegaMan.exe. We’ve also got new merchandise available in the KVGM store, featuring the #1 sports team, the Aqua City Windjammers.

Welcome to 2022 – the future. Is it bright? Doubtful…but the jams keep things light and airy. Because you know what they say…ignorance is bliss. And that has never been more true than here on the Last Wave. This week, we’ve got more mahjong, more Lupin the Third, more billiards, and of course, X68000 visual novel representation.

If you celebrated Christmas over the weekend, I hope it was a memorable one. If you didn’t, I hope the weekend was just as memorable. It was a very quiet, relaxing Christmas here on the coast, with no family, just a few friends and Mother Nature. But of course, the jams don’t stop. They keep coming,

It’s the week before Christmas so the hype is in the air and everywhere you go, Christmas music is playing. But on the Last Wave, we believe that smooth, non-Christmas video game music is the best way to go all year long. Whether it’s from high school baseball games on the PS1, visual novels about sexy wives and sexy cruise ship attendees, customizing race tracks, or simulating a fish tank on your Sega Saturn. Plus, Wave Race 64, which surprisingly hasn’t been played on the show yet.

It’s December, the weather is cooling down significantly, summer is long gone but not here on Aqua City. Because summer never ends here, which you either love it…or you hate it. Fortunately, we love it…and by we, I mean me, Hammock. We’ve got a bunch of jams this week per usual but also per usual, you can still receive 20% off your order and free shipping at MANSCAPED.com when you use the promo code KVGM.
